Inspired by her childhood passion, Dipti (“Sakhi” in the Beauty World) has devoted many years to become the dedicated, talented and passionate artist she is today. She obtained her license in Cosmetology in 2001. In addition, she undertook specialized training from highly qualified professionals in India to master the art of traditional Indian bridal make-up, unique hairstyles, saree draping styles, henna, etc. Sakhi has worked with a variety of Indian brides, as well as those of various different cultures.

Indian Bridal MakeupSakhi has also mastered the art of a variety of henna/mehandi designs, including traditional Indian, Arabic, classic, jardosi (glitter) and instant henna tattoos. Over the years, she has researched and created her own secret recipe of henna mixture for that perfect color and finish. The mehandi mixture is made from authentic henna powder brought from India and prepared fresh for each event.

As a professional make-up artist, Sakhi uses quality cosmetic MAC products (unless otherwise requested.) With her eye for detail and skillful mindset, she can transform you using her vast palette of make-up products. Sakhi is also trained (and certified) in the latest innovation in the make-up world —airbrush make-up. This technique gives full coverage, long-lasting, weightless, and blemish-free look.

In addition to her skills in traditional make-up and hair-dos, Sakhi also excels in the latest modern hairstyles, including up-dos, half-up/half-down styles, natural/tight curls, sophisticated low buns etc, which are great for weddings, proms, sweet sixteen parties, anniversary parties, baby showers, quinceaneras etc. She also holds a certificate in Japanese hair straightening technique, which gives you straight, shiny, and manageable hair.

Due to her success and popularity in the bridal sector, especially in the tri-state area, Sakhi was invited in the
Miss India/New Jersey pageant to ready the participants. This was a wonderful recognition of her skills and reputation.
